Business Development Executive

THE ROLE

iAffiliate Management is looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to drive new client acquisition for our managed affiliate marketing services. This position has responsibility for identifying new opportunities, qualifying prospects, developing & maintaining a sales pipeline, and closing new business. This role is based in our Minneapolis office however remote candidates will be considered. Relocation package is available.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Generate New Opportunities

  • Prospect and create new opportunities within target markets.
  • Qualify new opportunities while gaining insight and understanding the individual needs and requirements of their business.

Deliver Value Proposition

  • Present iAffiliate Management’s value proposition making it relevant based on the individual needs and requirements of the prospective customer.
  • Effectively deliver iAffiliate Management’s key differentiators in the managed affiliate services space.

Client Acquisition

  • Close new business opportunities.
  • Work with the Delivery team during the onboarding process to ensure a positive client experience.

 Industry Expertise

  • Stay on the pulse of affiliate marketing & eCommerce industry through industry conferences, publications, professional networking and other resources.
  • Work with Management and Delivery team to ensure sales & marketing materials and other sales resources are current based on relevant industry information.

Sales Pipeline Management

  • Develop opportunities so they move through sales process efficiently.
  • Follow sales process and ensure opportunity documentation and tracking is updated in CRM.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

At 6 Months

  • Achieving and exceeding weekly activity goals
  • Understands iAffiliate Management value proposition, key differentiators and our target markets
  • Understands the key challenges facing our target market as it relates to affiliate marketing and driving eCommerce growth through the affiliate channel
  • Has developed rapport with key referral and agency partners
  • Developing a robust sales pipeline with new opportunities at various stages in sales process.
  • Is mastering the sales process and involving management as needed at critical stages
  • Closed at least one new opportunity and has experience working with Delivery Team on client onboarding process.

At 12 Months

  • Achieving and exceeding weekly activity goals
  • Has built strong relationships with key agency partners and industry contacts
  • Is accountable to weekly monthly and quarterly sales goals
  • Has mastery around sales process and has developed own efficiencies around our process
  • Is consistently closing new deals on a monthly basis
  • Has a robust sales pipeline with a healthy mix of target customers and strategic opportunities
  • Has a monthly rhythm developing new relationships with key industry through industry events and relevant networking opportunities

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLSET

  • 4+ years of business development and/or sales experience is required
  • At least 2 years selling digital marketing managed services—affiliate marketing preferred
  • Fluent in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree required
