Commission Junction’s annual CJ University conference is taking place on October 13 – 15 in Santa Barbara, CA and the team from iAffiliate Management is getting ready to attend. Whether you’re a CJU veteran or this is your first show, here are 4 tips for getting the most out of your CJU experience.
Take Advantage of the CJ Universe
The CJ Universe is Commission Junction’s social network for all registered CJU attendees. Start prepping for CJU early by creating a profile and doing some pre-show networking. You can use the CJ Universe to find and contact other registered attendees, schedule meetings, and participate in group discussions. The CJ Universe is a one stop resource for show information, including session schedules, locations, and maps. A mobile app is also available to help navigate the show once you arrive in Santa Barbara.
Use the Zone for Your Meetings
Make sure you take advantage of the Zone for any scheduled meetings at CJU. One of the trickiest aspects of tradeshow meetings is locating the person you’re meeting and finding a suitable place to sit. Thankfully CJ has made this blissfully easy by creating the Zone. The Zone is a designated meeting space at the Fess Parker with reserve-able numbered tables. Use the CJ Universe to book your Zone reservations and manage invitations. One thing to keep in mind: even with multiple rooms and dozens of tables, the Zone still fills up fast so make sure to book your meetings as soon as possible.
Don’t Forget to Attend Sessions
Regardless of your level of experience, it’s important to take a break from non-stop meetings to attend some of the learning sessions. CJ does an excellent job providing a mix of topics for attendees of all experience levels. You can browse all the scheduled sessions and learn more about the speakers on the CJ Universe. In addition to providing some great content, these sessions often turn into great networking opportunities!
